What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Managing Owner or Designated General Manager must attend the Cool Binz convention every year it is offered. If the franchisee fails to attend the convention without prior written permission from Cool Binz, they must pay a Convention Non-Attendance Fee of $1,000.
This fee serves as a financial disincentive for franchisees who do not participate in the annual convention. The convention is likely a valuable opportunity for training, networking, and updates from the franchisor. By mandating attendance and imposing a fee for non-attendance, Cool Binz emphasizes the importance of these events for maintaining brand standards and franchisee success.
Prospective franchisees should factor this potential expense into their budget and be aware of the attendance requirements. It is important to communicate with Cool Binz in advance if there are unavoidable reasons for missing the convention to seek written permission and avoid the fee.
