What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cool Binz will repurchase the storage container bins if a franchisee is terminating or not renewing their Franchise Agreement. The percentages paid for the bins assume reasonable wear and tear and regular maintenance. If any components of the original Bins are missing, or there is damage or excessive wear and tear, Cool Binz reserves the right to make a corresponding adjustment to the repurchase price. The original Bins pricing under its Schedule will be reduced to the applicable percentage in effect based on the time elapsed after original purchase.
This buy-back arrangement provides some financial security for franchisees upon exiting the Cool Binz system. However, the repurchase price is contingent on the condition of the bins and the length of time the franchisee has owned them. A franchisee who has not properly maintained their bins or who has used them heavily may receive a significantly lower repurchase price.
It is important for prospective Cool Binz franchisees to carefully review the bin repurchase schedule and understand the conditions that could affect the repurchase price. Franchisees should also factor in the potential depreciation of the bins when projecting their potential return on investment. This buy-back agreement appears to be applicable to all franchisees, regardless of location, as there is no mention of specific states or regions.
