Can Cool Binz change the required services for franchisees?
Cool_Binz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must offer and provide only and all of the Services that we periodically require for COOL BINZ franchisees in the manner that we prescribe, and you may only provide the Services that we have authorized. You may not market or perform any other services, except the Services, without our express, prior written approval. There are no limits on our right to periodically change required and/or authorized services and service categories, and we may do so at our discretion. Other than the advertising and territorial restrictions (See Item 12), we do not restrict the types of customers that you may service through your COOL BINZ Business. You may not provide unauthorized products of services for sale through your COOL BINZ Business. We will provide you with guidelines regarding pricing, staffing requirements and hours of operation, but you are responsible for developing your own workplace standards. As stated above, participation in the NORA programs is optional.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Cool Binz has the right to periodically change the services that franchisees are required to offer. Specifically, Cool Binz can change both the required and authorized services and service categories at their discretion. This means that Cool Binz franchisees must be prepared to adapt their service offerings to align with the franchisor's evolving requirements.
This flexibility allows Cool Binz to respond to changing market conditions and customer demands, which could benefit franchisees in the long run by keeping the brand relevant and competitive. However, it also means that franchisees may need to invest in new equipment, training, or marketing materials to support these changes. The franchisee does not have the option to market or perform any other services, except the Services, without express, prior written approval from Cool Binz.
While Cool Binz retains the right to modify service offerings, franchisees are responsible for developing their own workplace standards, though Cool Binz will provide guidelines regarding pricing, staffing requirements, and hours of operation. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the potential costs and operational adjustments associated with these changes and factor them into their business planning. It would be prudent to discuss with Cool Binz their typical frequency and scope of service modifications to better understand the potential impact on their business.
