Besides the Cool Binz Marks, what identification of the Cool Binz Business is permitted?
Cool_Binz Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
You must use the Marks as the only identification of the COOL BINZ Business, except that you must identify yourself as the owner of an independent entity in the manner that we prescribe.
You must submit to us, for our approval, the assumed or trade name (the "DBA") you intend to use in the operation of the COOL BINZ Business before filing for it as required by local laws.
We may approve or disapprove such DBA at our discretion.
All filings or affidavits, following your receipt from us of an approved DBA, must state that the filing or affidavit is made as "a franchisee of COOL BINZ." The approved DBA is the only DBA that you may use.
You may not use a different name under any circumstances, including as a domain name, URL address, marketing, or for any other function.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must use the Cool Binz Marks as the primary identification for their business. However, franchisees are required to identify themselves as the owner of an independent entity, in a manner prescribed by Cool Binz. This means while the Cool Binz brand must be prominent, customers should also be aware that the franchise location is independently owned and operated.
Cool Binz also mandates that franchisees must get approval for any assumed or trade name (DBA) they intend to use. The franchisor has the discretion to approve or disapprove the DBA. Once approved, all filings related to the DBA must state that the filing is made as "a franchisee of COOL BINZ." The approved DBA is the only name the franchisee can use for any function of the business, including domain names and marketing.
Cool Binz retains control over how its brand is presented and ensures consistency across all franchise locations. This protects the brand's reputation and ensures customers recognize the Cool Binz name and standards, while also allowing for the franchisee's independent ownership to be acknowledged. Franchisees must be diligent in seeking approval for any business names or identification methods beyond the core Cool Binz Marks to avoid violating the franchise agreement.
