What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, attendance at the annual Cool Binz convention is mandatory for the Managing Owner or the Designated General Manager. This requirement ensures that the leadership of each franchise remains up-to-date with the latest developments and standards within the Cool Binz system.
Failure to attend the convention without prior written permission from Cool Binz results in a Convention Non-Attendance Fee of $1,000. This fee underscores the importance Cool Binz places on having its franchisees actively participate in these events. Additionally, the Managing Owner or Designated General Manager must attend periodic refresher training courses and conferences, limited to one convention/conference per year, at locations and times determined by Cool Binz, for which Cool Binz may charge fees.
The franchisee is responsible for covering all travel and living expenses incurred by themselves or their employees/owners while attending the convention, refresher training courses, and conferences. This financial responsibility should be factored into the franchisee's budget. These training and convention requirements are typical in franchising, as they help maintain consistency and quality across the brand.
In summary, attendance at the annual Cool Binz convention is a requirement, and failure to comply can result in a $1,000 fee. Franchisees must also budget for travel and living expenses associated with these mandatory events.
