What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Cool Binz's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Managing Owner or the Designated General Manager must attend the Cool Binz convention every year it is offered. If they fail to attend without prior written permission from Cool Binz, a Convention Non-Attendance Fee of $1,000 will be charged.

In addition to the annual convention, the Managing Owner or Designated General Manager must also attend periodic refresher training courses and conferences, but not more than one per year. Cool Binz determines the timing, location, and curriculum for these sessions and may charge fees for attendance. The franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred while attending these sessions.

If a Designated General Manager leaves their position, the franchisee must appoint a successor within ten days, subject to Cool Binz's approval. The successor must then attend the next available Business Manager and Technical Operations Training. If the first successor does not complete the training successfully, one additional person may be appointed as a successor, who must also attend and successfully complete the training. Failure to have a Designated General Manager who has completed the required training can result in a default of the Franchise Agreement and potential termination.
