What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clear Pest Pros's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, a franchisee cannot operate a business that gives the impression it is a Clear Pest Pros business. Specifically, the franchisee must cease operations under the agreement and not operate under any name or manner that might lead the public to believe they are still operating a Clear Pest Pros business or a confusingly similar business. This restriction is designed to protect the Clear Pest Pros brand and prevent customer confusion.
Additionally, the franchisee is prohibited from representing to the public that any other business they own or operate is connected to the Clear Pest Pros system. They also cannot present themselves as a current or former Clear Pest Pros franchisee. This is to ensure that the franchisee does not leverage the brand recognition and goodwill of Clear Pest Pros for their own benefit after the franchise agreement ends.
These post-termination obligations are common in franchising to maintain brand integrity and prevent unfair competition. A prospective Clear Pest Pros franchisee should carefully consider these restrictions and how they might impact their future business plans should they decide to exit the franchise system.
