11.11 Additional Training
If this is a renewal term or if this is an additional Clear Pest Pros Business being awarded to you, and your Managing Owner or, if applicable, the Designated Manager, have already attended Initial Training, the requirement that you attend Initial Training is waived, except as with respect to the JumpStart online training modules and continuing training obligations. If your Managing Owner or, if applicable, the Designated Manager desires to attend Initial Training again, you will not be assessed a training fee, however you will be responsible for all travel and living expenses that you and your employees/owners incur while attending training.
The Managing Owner or, if applicable, the Designated Manager, must attend the Convention every year if one is offered. The Managing Owner or, if applicable, Designated Manager also must attend periodic refresher training courses and conferences,, at the times and locations we determine, and for which we may charge fees. In states where continued education is offered, these training(s) and conferences may provide CEU credits toward your regulatory license renewal(s). We will determine the duration, curriculum, and location of any such sessions. You will be responsible for all travel and living expenses that are incurred by you or your employees/owners while attending such sessions. Some of these events may occur outside of your home state. We will determine the duration, curriculum, and location of any of these sessions. The curriculum for online training and these events can include, but is not limited to, technical training, business plan analysis, marketing, profitability, and maximizing your business opportunities. You must pay for all registration fees, travel and living expenses that you incur while attending such sessions. If we send a Clear Pest Pros employee to your location for additional training, then you must pay us the Additional Training Fee, which is currently $500 per person. This fee is due regardless of whether you request the additional training or we determine, in our sole discretion, your work performance requires additional training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Clear Pest Pros Franchise Disclosure Document, the Designated Manager may be required to attend and complete both the JumpStart and Initial Training programs. The Designated Manager's role is similar to that of the Managing Owner in that they can attend Initial Training in place of the franchisee, at no additional fee. However, the Designated Manager must complete the Initial Training to the satisfaction of Clear Pest Pros, or the Franchise Agreement may be terminated.
If the franchisee is awarded an additional Clear Pest Pros business, the requirement to attend Initial Training is waived if the Designated Manager has already attended Initial Training, except for the JumpStart online training modules and continuing training obligations. However, the Designated Manager can attend Initial Training again without a training fee, but they will be responsible for all travel and living expenses.
The Designated Manager must also attend the annual Clear Pest Pros convention, if offered, as well as periodic refresher training courses and conferences. These sessions may provide CEU credits toward regulatory license renewals in states where continued education is offered. Clear Pest Pros determines the duration, curriculum, and location of these sessions, and the franchisee is responsible for all travel and living expenses incurred by the Designated Manager while attending.
