If this is a renewal term ("Renewal Term"), the Initial Franchise Fee is waived. However, you must pay the then-current renewal fee, as set forth in Section 11.D of this Agreement. The renewal fee is non-refundable and deemed fully earned upon payment. As a condition to entering into a Renewal Term, we may require you to purchase new or additional equipment, remodel or refurbish your vehicle or retail space, or perform other renovations, at your sole expense.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 FDD, the initial franchise fee is waived if a franchisee is entering a renewal term with Clear Pest Pros. However, the franchisee must pay the then-current renewal fee, as outlined in Section 11.D of the Franchise Agreement. This renewal fee is non-refundable and is considered fully earned upon payment.

As a condition of entering a Renewal Term, Clear Pest Pros may require franchisees to purchase new or additional equipment, remodel or refurbish their vehicle or retail space, or perform other renovations, all at the franchisee's sole expense.

Furthermore, to be awarded a renewal franchise agreement, Clear Pest Pros may require the franchisee to correct any provisions of the agreement with which they are not in compliance, potentially requiring them to attend and successfully complete additional training. Clear Pest Pros can also elect not to award a renewal franchise agreement if they determine that the franchisee has not substantially complied with the agreement during its term.
