Who pays for upgrades to the Clear Pest Pros Computer System or Required Software?

At our request, you shall purchase or lease, and thereafter maintain, the Computer System, Clear Pest Pros Software, and the Required Software. You agree to pay all fees associated with the use of Clear Pest Pros Software and any other Required Software, which may be payable to us or our approved or designated suppliers. You expressly agree to strictly comply with our thencurrent standards and specifications for all items associated with your Computer System, Clear Pest Pros Software and any Required Software, including any security software. You agree, at your own expense, to keep your Computer System in good maintenance and repair and install such upgrades, additions, changes, modifications, substitutions, and/or replacements to your Computer System or Required Software as we direct from time to time in writing. You agree that your compliance with this Section shall be at your sole cost and expense.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clear Pest Pros's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with keeping the Computer System and Required Software up to date. The franchisee must purchase or lease the Computer System, Clear Pest Pros Software, and Required Software initially, and then maintain it according to Clear Pest Pros's standards.
This includes paying all fees associated with the use of the Clear Pest Pros Software and any other Required Software, potentially payable to Clear Pest Pros or their designated suppliers. The franchisee must strictly adhere to Clear Pest Pros's current standards for the Computer System, Clear Pest Pros Software, and Required Software, including security software.
The franchisee is obligated, at their own expense, to maintain and repair their Computer System, and to install any upgrades, additions, changes, modifications, substitutions, or replacements to their Computer System or Required Software as directed by Clear Pest Pros in writing. The FDD states clearly that compliance with these requirements is at the franchisee's sole cost and expense.
