B. INITIAL PACKAGE FEE.
You must also obtain, from us, an initial package ("Initial Package") that costs $38,000 (the "Initial Package Fee"). The Initial Package contents will vary depending on the services most requested in your area. You must purchase or lease at least one van or truck for use in connection with your Clear Pest Pros Business that complies with our standards and specifications.

The convention allowance covers the registration fee for one person to attend the first Clear Pest Pros convention scheduled after the franchisee completes Initial Training. This allowance cannot be used to offset any other expenses related to the business.
Notably, if a franchisee is entering a Transfer Term, they are not required to purchase the entire Initial Package. Instead, they must purchase a modified Initial Package, the cost of which will vary depending on the equipment not included in the transfer that is necessary to provide all current services. The FDD also states that the Initial Package Fee and the Initial Franchise Fee are non-refundable and deemed fully earned upon payment.
