What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Clear Pest Pros Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise agreement grants the franchisee the right to operate their Clear Pest Pros business only within the territory defined in the Franchise Agreement. The specific area where the Clear Pest Pros business is to be operated consists of a set of zip codes. Clear Pest Pros will not allow another franchisee or company store to perform work within the franchisee's territory, except as outlined in Section 1.D of the agreement, unless the franchisee is not in full compliance with the agreement.

This means that a Clear Pest Pros franchisee's primary operating area is restricted to the territory outlined in their agreement, which is defined by specific zip codes. This grants a level of geographic exclusivity, preventing other Clear Pest Pros franchisees or company-owned stores from directly competing within that defined area. However, this exclusivity is contingent on the franchisee's compliance with the Franchise Agreement.

It is important to note that the FDD mentions exceptions outlined in Section 1.D, which could potentially allow other franchisees or company stores to operate within a franchisee's territory under certain circumstances. A prospective franchisee should carefully review Section 1.D of the Franchise Agreement to fully understand the conditions under which these exceptions may apply. Understanding the precise boundaries of the territory and any potential exceptions to the exclusivity is crucial for assessing the market potential and competitive landscape for a Clear Pest Pros franchise.
