How and when does a Clear Pest Pros franchisee pay the Software Fee for the Clear Pest Pros Software?

Throughout the term of this Agreement, you must:

- utilize our then-current franchise management software system in the operation of the Clear Pest Pros Business, which may be developed by us or designated by us (the "Clear Pest Pros Software"), unless we approve an alternate software supplier;

- sign and maintain a quarterly renewable Clear Pest Pros Software licensing agreement (attached as Exhibit B to this Agreement);

- pay the then-current monthly software fee and, if required, set up fee, for the Clear Pest Pros Software (the "Software Fee") in the same manner and at the same time as you pay the monthly Royalty;

- pay the then-current monthly technology fee for website hosting, email hosting, business phone, and other required technology or marketing related expenses (the "Technology Fee") in the same manner and at the same time as you pay the monthly Royalty; and
-
- utilize, sign a license agreement for, and pay for, any future proprietary software program we may designate for use with the System.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Clear Pest Pros Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the Clear Pest Pros Software for their business operations, unless an alternative is approved by Clear Pest Pros. Franchisees must sign and maintain a quarterly renewable Clear Pest Pros Software licensing agreement.
The Software Fee, along with any required set-up fee, is paid monthly. The payment is made in the same manner and at the same time as the monthly Royalty payments. Franchisees are also responsible for paying a monthly technology fee for website hosting, email hosting, business phone, and other required technology or marketing-related expenses, also in the same manner and at the same time as the monthly Royalty.
Clear Pest Pros also reserves the right to designate future proprietary software programs for use with the system, requiring franchisees to sign a license agreement and pay for these programs as well. This ensures that all franchisees are using the most up-to-date and standardized software to maintain consistency and efficiency across the Clear Pest Pros franchise system.
