When does a Clear Pest Pros franchisee pay the Software Fee?

Throughout the term of this Agreement, you must:

- utilize our then-current franchise management software system in the operation of the Clear Pest Pros Business, which may be developed by us or designated by us (the "Clear Pest Pros Software"), unless we approve an alternate software supplier;

- sign and maintain a quarterly renewable Clear Pest Pros Software licensing agreement (attached as Exhibit B to this Agreement);

- pay the then-current monthly software fee and, if required, set up fee, for the Clear Pest Pros Software (the "Software Fee") in the same manner and at the same time as you pay the monthly Royalty;

- pay the then-current monthly technology fee for website hosting, email hosting, business phone, and other required technology or marketing related expenses (the "Technology Fee") in the same manner and at the same time as you pay the monthly Royalty; and
-
- utilize, sign a license agreement for, and pay for, any future proprietary software program we may designate for use with the System.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clear Pest Pros's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to pay the Software Fee monthly. Specifically, the Software Fee, along with a Technology Fee, must be paid in the same manner and at the same time as the monthly Royalty fee.
This means that a Clear Pest Pros franchisee needs to budget for this recurring monthly expense, and ensure timely payments to avoid potential late fees or other penalties. Franchisees should clarify with Clear Pest Pros the exact due date for the Royalty to understand when the Software Fee is also due.
Clear Pest Pros also requires franchisees to sign and maintain a quarterly renewable Clear Pest Pros Software licensing agreement. Furthermore, franchisees must utilize the then-current franchise management software system in the operation of the Clear Pest Pros Business, unless Clear Pest Pros approves an alternate software supplier.
