What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clear Pest Pros's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must obtain prior written approval from Clear Pest Pros for the content to be posted on any social media pages before establishing such pages for their business. Once approval is granted, the franchisee must establish and operate the social media pages in accordance with Clear Pest Pros's System Standards and any other policies designated in the Operations Manual or in writing. Franchisees must also utilize any templates provided by Clear Pest Pros to create or modify their social media sites.
Clear Pest Pros recommends, but does not require, that franchisees update their social media pages at least monthly. This recommendation suggests that while regular updates are encouraged to maintain an active online presence, they are not mandatory. Upon termination or expiration of the Franchise Agreement, all social media pages and associated passwords must be transferred to Clear Pest Pros, giving the franchisor complete control over the online presence after the franchise ends.
This requirement ensures that all social media content aligns with the brand's image and standards. It also allows Clear Pest Pros to maintain control over its brand's online presence and messaging. For a prospective franchisee, this means that they will need to plan their social media content in advance and submit it for approval, which may add an extra step to their marketing efforts. However, it also provides an opportunity to receive guidance and support from the franchisor in creating effective social media campaigns.
