What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Clear Pest Pros' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial franchise fee of $35,000 offsets specific expenses incurred by the franchisor. These expenses are related to registering, marketing, awarding, training, and opening new Clear Pest Pros franchises. The FDD specifies that this fee, along with the Initial Package Fee, is paid to the franchisor, is non-refundable, and is deemed fully earned upon payment.

For a prospective Clear Pest Pros franchisee, this means that the $35,000 initial fee is not simply a payment to join the franchise system, but rather covers the costs associated with setting up the new franchise location. These costs include the administrative and marketing efforts undertaken by Clear Pest Pros to establish the franchise. The fee also contributes to the training provided to the franchisee and the costs of opening the new location.

It is important to note that the initial franchise fee is non-refundable, regardless of whether the franchise opens or becomes successful. This is a common practice in franchising, as the franchisor incurs these expenses upfront. Therefore, a potential Clear Pest Pros franchisee should carefully consider their decision before signing the franchise agreement and paying the initial fee. Understanding what the fee covers can help the franchisee appreciate the value they receive in exchange for this initial investment.
