Initial Training takes place at a location that we designate, which is currently Ann Arbor, Michigan and may also be conducted in your operating territory. In addition to you, it may be attended by the Managing Owner or, if applicable, the Designated Manager, at no additional fee. The Managing Owner and, if applicable, the Designated Manager must complete the Initial Training to our satisfaction. Failure to do so will result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement. Initial Training is approximately 12 days in duration and must be completed within four (4) months of signing the Franchise Agreement. You will be responsible for all travel and living expenses that you and your employees/owners incur. Additional persons employed by you may attend on a space available basis, contingent upon our receipt of our training fee to offset the expenses we incur. All attendees who are not a party to the Franchise Agreement must sign our prescribed form of confidentiality and nondisclosure agreement (Exhibit C of the Franchise Disclosure Document).

Initial Training provided to you, or your Designated Manager, and three other persons (four total attendees) is provided free of charge. You may designate, with our approval and on a "space available basis," additional persons to attend initial training.

Our Operations Manuals, videos, and other handouts comprise the instructional materials for our Initial Training. Initial Training will be led by James Myers. We may also involve other employees of us or our affiliates or other industry experts from time to time. James joined us in 2024 and has 22 years of experience in the pest control industry. Any other employees assisting with training will have a minimum of six (6) months' experience with us. Additional training may be conducted by the brand president, their team, state pest management regulatory officials, or support personnel from pest management product manufacturers and/or representatives at any time.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Clear Pest Pros's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee, or their Designated Manager, can attend the Initial Training program at no additional fee. Additionally, three other people can attend the initial training free of charge, totaling four free attendees.

If the Managing Owner or Designated Manager has already attended Initial Training because it is a renewal term or an additional Clear Pest Pros Business, they are not required to attend Initial Training again, with the exception of the JumpStart online training modules and continuing training obligations. However, if they desire to attend Initial Training again, they will not be assessed a training fee.

It is important to note that while the training itself is provided at no additional fee for those eligible, all attendees are responsible for their own travel and living expenses incurred while attending the training. Additional persons employed by the franchisee may attend on a space available basis, contingent upon Clear Pest Pros's receipt of a training fee to offset the expenses they incur.
