Answer from 2025 FDD Document

The Initial Package includes a tablet, backpack sprayer, software set-up fees, consumables, branded materials, a convention allowance, as well as four (4) months of targeted digital marketing in your Territory. The Initial Package contents will vary depending on the services most requested in your area. The Convention Allowance covers the registration fee for one person to attend the first Clear Pest Pro convention that is scheduled following your successful completion of Initial Training and cannot used to offset any other expenses associated with your Business.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Clear Pest Pros' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the convention allowance included in the Initial Package is specifically designated for the registration fee for one person to attend the first Clear Pest Pros convention scheduled after the franchisee completes initial training.

The FDD is very clear that this allowance cannot be used to offset any other business-related expenses. This means franchisees should plan to cover all other costs associated with attending the convention, such as travel, accommodation, and meals, separately from the convention allowance.

This restriction is important for prospective franchisees to understand, as it impacts their initial financial planning. While the allowance helps cover the registration fee, franchisees need to budget for all other expenses related to attending the convention. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, where specific allowances are often earmarked for particular purposes and cannot be flexibly applied to other costs.
