What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Clear Pest Pros Franchise Disclosure Document, "Co-Venturing" is defined as any project or enterprise undertaken jointly by two or more Clear Pest Pros franchisees. This means that if multiple franchisees decide to collaborate on a specific business endeavor, it falls under the umbrella of "Co-Venturing" as defined by Clear Pest Pros.
Clear Pest Pros requires that all Co-Venturing activities be managed through them. Franchisees are explicitly prohibited from directly negotiating with other Clear Pest Pros franchisees regarding Co-Venturing opportunities without obtaining prior written approval from Clear Pest Pros. This stipulation ensures that Clear Pest Pros maintains oversight and control over collaborative projects undertaken by its franchisees, likely to protect brand standards and consistency.
For a prospective Clear Pest Pros franchisee, this means that while collaboration with other franchisees is possible, it is subject to the franchisor's approval and management. A franchisee cannot independently form partnerships with other franchisees without Clear Pest Pros's explicit consent. This requirement is in place to ensure that all collaborative ventures align with the franchisor's strategic goals and operational standards, and to prevent potential conflicts or inconsistencies among franchisees.
