What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clean Your Dirty Face's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Rider to the franchise agreement is required under specific circumstances related to the location and acceptance of the franchise offer. For California, the Rider is signed if (a) the offer for sale of the franchise was made in the State of California; or (b) the offer to buy the franchise was accepted in the State of California; or (c) your Business is or will be located in the State of California and you are domiciled in California. For Illinois, the Rider is signed because (a) the offer for sale of the franchise was made or accepted in the State of Illinois and your Business is or will be located in the State of Illinois.
These Riders are annexed to and form an integral part of the Franchise Agreement, superseding any inconsistent provisions within the original agreement. Capitalized terms not defined in the Rider will have the meanings as defined in the Franchise Agreement. This ensures that franchisees operating in these states are subject to specific legal protections and regulations applicable in their jurisdiction.
Prospective franchisees should pay close attention to which Rider applies to them based on where the offer was made, accepted, or where their Clean Your Dirty Face business will be located. This is important because the Rider modifies the original franchise agreement and ensures compliance with state-specific franchise laws. Franchisees should carefully review these state-specific addenda to understand their rights and obligations, as these Riders can significantly impact the terms of their franchise agreement.
