What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clean Your Dirty Face's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee seeking to renew their franchise agreement must pay a successor franchise fee. This fee is $5,000. However, to be eligible for a successor franchise, the franchisee must meet several conditions.
These conditions include substantial compliance with the existing franchise agreement throughout its term, adherence to all system standards both at the time of application and when the new term commences, and maintaining the business according to Clean Your Dirty Face's standards for new locations. This may involve remodeling, expanding, or replacing assets to meet current system standards. Alternatively, the franchisee can secure a substitute premises that meets Clean Your Dirty Face's approval and develop it according to the then-applicable system standards.
Additionally, the franchisee must sign the current franchise agreement used for new Clean Your Dirty Face franchises, modified as necessary to reflect its status as a successor franchise, which may contain materially different provisions from the original agreement. The franchisee and their owners must also sign guarantees and general releases of claims against Clean Your Dirty Face and its affiliates. Failure to meet these conditions gives Clean Your Dirty Face the right to deny a successor franchise, regardless of whether they had previously considered terminating the original agreement.
