According to Clean Your Dirty Face's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee who meets certain conditions and wishes to renew their franchise agreement for another term must pay a successor franchise fee. This fee is $5,000.
To qualify for a successor franchise, the franchisee must substantially comply with the existing agreement during its term and be in full compliance with the agreement and all system standards both when they provide written notice of their intent to acquire a successor franchise and on the date the successor franchise term would begin. Additionally, the franchisee must maintain possession of the business location and agree to remodel or expand it to comply with the system standards applicable to new Clean Your Dirty Face locations. Alternatively, the franchisee can secure a substitute premises that meets Clean Your Dirty Face's approval and develop it according to the then-applicable system standards.
The franchisee must also sign the current franchise agreement used for new Clean Your Dirty Face franchises, modified to reflect that it is a successor franchise, which may contain materially different provisions from the original agreement. Finally, the franchisee and their owners must sign guarantees and general releases of claims against Clean Your Dirty Face and its affiliates. Failure to meet these conditions gives Clean Your Dirty Face the right to deny a successor franchise, regardless of whether they had previously considered terminating the original agreement.
