What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Clean Your Dirty Face's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before the 2nd anniversary of the opening date of the first Clean Your Dirty Face Facial Bar, the franchisee must enter into lease agreements for the premises of the additional Clean Your Dirty Face Facial Bars. The location of these additional facial bars must be within the search area described in Exhibit A and must be approved by Clean Your Dirty Face, in accordance with the terms of the Additional Franchise Agreements.
This means that franchisees looking to expand with additional locations must act relatively quickly, securing both the franchise agreements and the premises leases within two years of opening their first location. The franchisor retains control over the site selection, requiring approval of the location. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, allowing Clean Your Dirty Face to maintain brand consistency and ensure locations meet their criteria for success.
Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibit A to understand the approved search area and the criteria Clean Your Dirty Face uses for site selection. Franchisees should also factor in the time and potential costs associated with site selection and lease negotiation when planning their expansion strategy. The franchisee acknowledges that the Rider does not grant the right to develop and operate the Additional CYDF Facial Bars, which must be developed and operated in accordance with the Additional Franchise Agreements, respectively.
