- Choice of Law. This Release shall be construed in accordance with and all disputes hereunder shall be governed by the laws of the State of Kansas. If any legal action is necessary to enforce the terms and conditions of this Release, the parties hereby agree that any action sought to be brought by either party, shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court covering Johnson County, Kansas with jurisdiction over the matter.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the release agreement shall be governed by the laws of Kansas. Specifically, any disputes will be construed in accordance with Kansas law.
Furthermore, if any legal action is necessary to enforce the terms of the release, the FDD states that such action shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal court covering Johnson County, Kansas. Johnson County is where City Wide's headquarters are located.
