Can the software provided to City Wide franchisees be disassembled?

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the software provided to franchisees is a compiled product that cannot be disassembled. The FDD specifies that the software is provided as a single compiled product and may not be disassembled or used in any manner other than as integrated into the Technology System. This restriction is in place to protect City Wide's valuable property and trade secrets.

This means that franchisees are prohibited from reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to break down the software to understand its inner workings or create derivative works. City Wide retains the right to add, delete, or modify any specific software programs comprising the Software which are necessary for the operation of the Technology Systems. City Wide also has the right to access the Technology System at all times. Franchisees must use the software exclusively for their City Wide franchise and safeguard the technology system and any data generated by it, maintaining its confidentiality.
