What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Wide provides IT services to the franchised business, which includes minor software upgrades and modifications. However, City Wide retains the right to determine when major upgrades or modifications are necessary for the software used in the City Wide franchise.

City Wide also reserves the right to charge the franchisee a reasonable fee for these major upgrades or modifications. If City Wide decides that a major software change is needed, the franchisee is obligated to implement the change in the manner and within the timeframe specified by City Wide.

This means that while City Wide provides ongoing IT support and handles minor software issues, franchisees may incur additional costs for significant software upgrades deemed necessary by City Wide. Franchisees must also comply with City Wide's directives regarding the implementation of these major changes to remain in compliance with the franchise agreement.
