What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Wide or its designated representatives are responsible for installing and configuring the software on the hardware components of the Technology System. City Wide also provides all maintenance, updates, and repairs of the software.
As a City Wide franchisee, you are responsible for maintaining an internet connection for each Technology System. This connection facilitates updates, revisions, support, and access by City Wide to the software, as well as data exchange between you and City Wide. You are also responsible for ensuring a proper environment and utilities for the hardware components on which the software operates.
City Wide retains the right to access the Technology System at all times and can add, delete, or modify any specific software programs necessary for the operation of the systems. City Wide acts as the Systems Administrator and maintains control over all applications. This ensures that the software and systems are properly managed and updated, reducing the burden on the franchisee to handle complex IT tasks.
During the term of the agreement, City Wide provides IT services to the franchised business, including laptop hardware and answering reasonable questions about access to and operation of the Technology System via email or written/electronic documents. This support structure is designed to help franchisees effectively use the technology provided and maintain smooth business operations.
