What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Wide does not provide site selection assistance to franchisees. However, franchisees must lease a location that meets City Wide's guidelines, and the site is subject to City Wide's approval. This means that while City Wide will not actively help in finding a location, they do have the right to approve or disapprove of the franchisee's choice of location.
This is an important consideration for potential franchisees as it means they will need to independently find a suitable location that meets City Wide's standards. The specific guidelines for acceptable locations are found in Item 12 of the FDD. Franchisees should carefully review these guidelines before committing to a lease, as City Wide's approval is required.
While City Wide does not offer site selection assistance, they do provide a list of approved suppliers for various goods and services needed to operate the franchise. This list includes suppliers for inventory, products, fixtures, furniture, equipment, signs, stationery, and other supplies. Franchisees are encouraged to purchase from these approved suppliers to maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with City Wide's specifications. This is a common practice in franchising, as it helps maintain brand consistency and quality control across all franchise locations.
