Before you open your business, CITY WIDE will:

- Provide you with a mandatory initial training program (See Section 4.1 of the Franchise Agreement);

- Provide you with one copy of (or electronic access to) the confidential Operating Manual for you to use during the term of the Franchise Agreement (See Section 4.5 of the Franchise Agreement); and

- Provide you with the required CITY WIDE hardware, software, peripherals, and related licenses at or before initial training.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Wide provides the required hardware, software, peripherals, and related licenses to the franchisee at or before initial training. This is part of the assistance City Wide provides before the franchisee opens their business.
This means that a new City Wide franchisee will receive the necessary technology and software to begin operations as part of their initial training. This is a crucial step as it ensures the franchisee has the tools needed to manage their business effectively from the outset. The franchisee must purchase a Technology System from City Wide for approximately $12,500, excluding the cost of hardware for owners and employees, which must also be procured from City Wide.
Furthermore, City Wide also provides ongoing IT Services for the first 36 months of operations, as detailed in the IT Services Agreement. However, the franchisee is responsible for the costs of all computer hardware upgrades and replacements. This setup is fairly typical in franchising, where the franchisor provides initial systems and support, but the franchisee bears the responsibility for maintaining and upgrading the technology over time.
