What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Wide procures and configures laptop hardware for franchisees and their employees for use in the operation and management of the franchised business. This hardware, along with the software, is collectively referred to as the "Technology System." City Wide also provides IT Services to the Franchised Business (including employees) including laptop hardware.
This means that as a City Wide franchisee, you will receive the necessary laptop hardware for yourself and your employees to run the business. The hardware comes pre-configured with City Wide's proprietary software. This reduces the initial setup burden on the franchisee.
City Wide retains the right to access the Technology System and modify the software as needed. Franchisees are responsible for maintaining an internet connection for each Technology System to facilitate updates and data exchange. Franchisees are also responsible for ensuring a proper environment and utilities for the hardware components of the Technology Systems on which the Software will operate. Franchisees also pay a monthly IT Services Fee for these services, which may vary based upon peripheral components selected and may be increased based on City Wide's then current published rates.
