What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any formal notice or report required or permitted under the franchise agreement must be in writing. The agreement specifies acceptable delivery methods to ensure proof of receipt and proper notification.

The acceptable methods for delivering official notices include personal delivery, which provides immediate confirmation. Alternatively, notices can be sent via confirmed overnight delivery, ensuring a verifiable delivery time. The franchise agreement also allows for certified or registered mail with return receipt requested and postage prepaid. This method provides legal documentation that the notice was sent and received or that delivery was attempted.

Notably, the notice is considered officially given even if the receiving party rejects the delivery. All notices must be addressed to the designated party's official address, as listed in the agreement, or to any other address that the party has formally specified in writing. This clause ensures that all communications have a clear and documented path, reducing potential disputes over notification.
