What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a designated manager must live in the Designated Territory. Specifically, the manager must devote full-time, year-round effort to supervising the operation of the franchised business on a daily basis. City Wide also reserves the right to request proof of residency of the manager.
This requirement ensures that the manager is readily available to oversee the business's daily operations and is familiar with the local market. It also aligns with City Wide's emphasis on active, on-site management to maintain quality and service standards.
It is important to note that the option to appoint a manager is not available if the franchised business is the first City Wide business in the Designated Territory or surrounding area. Additionally, the franchisee must directly operate and manage the franchised business unless they meet specific criteria to designate a manager, such as the business being in the top 25% of the system in terms of Annual Revenue Per Capita Growth.
