What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a new franchisee must pay an initial training fee of $7,500. This fee is in addition to the initial franchise fee of $70,000 and an initial territory fee, which varies depending on the population of the designated territory. The initial training fee contributes to the overall initial investment required to start a City Wide franchise.

It's important to note that this initial training fee is part of a larger set of initial fees that City Wide collects, which they collectively refer to as "Initial Fees." These include the Initial Franchise Fee, Initial Training Fee, Initial Territory Fee, and a Technology Provisioning Fee. In City Wide's most recent fiscal year, the range of Initial Fees City Wide collected was from $105,000 to $140,000, due to the size of the franchisees' respective territories.

The FDD also outlines conditions under which some of the initial fees may be refundable. Specifically, if City Wide terminates the Franchise Agreement within 15 days of submission of all data after evaluating the franchisee's qualifications, the franchisee will receive a refund of the Initial Fees, less an evaluation fee which will not exceed $2,500. Additionally, if the franchisee cannot provide adequate proof of financing within 30 days of the execution of the Franchise Agreement, either party may terminate the agreement, and City Wide will refund the Initial Fees, less $2,500 as liquidated damages. However, if the franchisee or their designees do not successfully complete the required initial training program, City Wide may terminate the Franchise Agreement and refund the Initial Franchise Fee, less training and other expenses incurred by City Wide, which will not exceed $10,000.
