What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 City Wide Franchise Disclosure Document, the addendum outlines several key points regarding the franchisor, City Wide. It states that all terms, conditions, and provisions of the Successor Franchise Agreement will remain in full force and effect as originally written and signed, except as specifically provided in the addendum. This means that the original agreement is still the primary document governing the relationship, and the addendum only makes specific changes or additions.
The addendum addresses specific sections of the Successor Franchise Agreement, such as Section 7.1 concerning permits and certifications, which is deleted and replaced with a new requirement for the franchisee to obtain and maintain all necessary permits and approvals to operate the franchised business. Similarly, Section 7.2 is replaced, requiring the franchisee to furnish City Wide with copies of all required permits and certifications before executing the agreement.
In essence, the addendum serves to modify certain operational standards and requirements within the existing Successor Franchise Agreement. It clarifies the franchisee's obligations regarding permits, certifications, and other operational aspects, while affirming that all other terms of the original agreement remain unchanged. This ensures that both parties are clear on their respective responsibilities and that the franchise operates in compliance with applicable regulations.
