What must City Wide franchisees and their salespersons successfully complete before opening the Franchised Business?

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, before opening their franchised business, franchisees and their salespersons must attend and successfully complete a training and familiarization course to City Wide's satisfaction. This course lasts approximately ten days, spread over separate, non-successive weeks, and can be held at City Wide headquarters, in the franchisee's designated territory, or another location designated by City Wide, including remotely. The training schedule may occur in non-successive weeks at City Wide's discretion.

The training program covers material aspects of operating the franchised business. This implies that franchisees and their sales staff will need to dedicate time and resources to attend this training, covering their own travel, lodging, and other related expenses. The fact that City Wide must be satisfied with the completion of the training underscores the importance of actively engaging with the material and demonstrating competence.

City Wide also retains the right to require previously trained and experienced franchisees, their managers, and designated employees to attend and successfully complete refresher training programs or seminars. These refresher courses will be conducted at City Wide's home office or another designated location, with the franchisee responsible for all associated expenses. Attendance at refresher programs is capped at two programs per calendar year, not exceeding four calendar days in total duration.
