What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase the Technology System directly from City Wide. The Technology System includes both the software and hardware necessary for operating and managing the franchised business. The approximate cost for the Technology System is $12,500, but this excludes the cost of the hardware for each owner and employee, which must also be procured from City Wide.

This requirement ensures that all franchisees use a standardized system, which likely helps maintain consistency and data compatibility across the City Wide franchise network. It also allows City Wide to provide IT Services to support the efficiency of the Technology Systems. Franchisees are obligated to retain City Wide for these IT Services for the first 36 months of operations, as detailed in the IT Services Agreement.

While franchisees must purchase the initial Technology System and hardware from City Wide, they are responsible for the costs of all subsequent computer hardware upgrades and replacements. City Wide also retains independent access to the information generated and stored within the City Wide Client Management System, including both hardware and software components. This access likely allows City Wide to monitor performance, provide support, and ensure compliance with system standards across all franchise locations.
