What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not entitled to demand a similar variation from standard specifications and practices that City Wide grants to another franchisee. City Wide retains the right to vary standards for any franchise owner based on specific circumstances, such as site peculiarities, population density, business potential, trade area population, existing business practices, or any other conditions City Wide deems important for the franchisee's business success. This allows City Wide to adapt to varying conditions and remain competitive.

City Wide maintains sole discretion in granting these variations. This means a franchisee cannot claim entitlement to a variation simply because another franchisee received it. This policy aims to enable City Wide to respond effectively to diverse market conditions and franchisee-specific situations.

This aspect of the franchise agreement highlights the importance of understanding that uniformity across all franchises may not always be feasible or practical. While City Wide aims for a consistent brand experience, they also recognize the need for flexibility to address local market conditions and individual franchisee needs. Prospective franchisees should be aware that they cannot expect identical treatment to other franchisees and should focus on building a strong business within the framework of their own specific agreement and territory.
