What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for specific expenses related to required additional training courses, seminars, and programs. While City Wide provides the instructors and training materials for these sessions, the franchisee must cover all other associated costs. These out-of-pocket expenses include transportation, lodging, meals, and wages for themselves and their employees attending the training.
City Wide may require franchisees to attend additional training sessions if their franchised business does not generate enough Gross Sales to pay a Royalty Fee that exceeds the Minimum Royalty Fee during their first year of operations. These additional training programs will be held in Lenexa, Kansas, and will last for no more than five days, occurring no more than four times per year. During these additional training programs, City Wide may also charge a reasonable training fee in addition to the franchisee covering travel, lodging, and living expenses.
Prospective City Wide franchisees should carefully consider these potential expenses when budgeting for their franchise. It is important to factor in the costs of travel, accommodation, food, and potential wages for employees who may need to attend additional training. Additionally, franchisees should be prepared for the possibility of paying a reasonable training fee for these additional programs. Understanding these financial responsibilities is crucial for managing the overall cost of operating a City Wide franchise and ensuring compliance with the franchise agreement.
