What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Marketing Fund is used to establish a directory listing for the franchisee on relevant online outlets. These outlets include Yelp, Bing Yellow Pages, and the Better Business Bureau. The purpose of these listings is to promote and increase demand for the products and services offered by the franchisee's business, as well as other City Wide franchisees within the system.
City Wide also agrees to conduct the franchisee's local advertising in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Operating Manual. Franchisees are responsible for notifying City Wide of any changes to their physical address so that the directory listings can be updated accordingly. The franchisee is responsible for covering the costs associated with amending already established listings.
This arrangement benefits the franchisee by providing them with an established online presence and advertising support, funded through the Marketing Fund. However, franchisees need to stay aware of the advertising guidelines in the Operating Manual and promptly update City Wide with any address changes to maintain accurate listings. Franchisees should factor in the potential costs for amending existing listings as part of their ongoing operational expenses.
