What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the entire agreement between City Wide and the franchisee consists of the franchise agreement itself, any exhibits attached to the agreement, and any documents specifically referred to within the agreement. This comprehensive collection of documents supersedes any prior agreements, whether written or oral, related to the franchise.
City Wide emphasizes that no representations or statements made by anyone representing or claiming to represent City Wide can alter the specific terms outlined in the franchise agreement or the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). Franchisees are expected to rely solely on the written terms of these documents. Franchisees confirm that no other promises or representations, beyond those in the agreement or FDD, influenced their decision to sign the agreement.
City Wide also clarifies that any modifications or changes to the franchise agreement must be made in writing and agreed upon by both parties to be binding. However, the agreement does not disclaim the representations made in the Franchise Disclosure Document, its exhibits, and amendments. This reinforces the importance of the FDD as a source of information for prospective franchisees, but also makes clear that the franchise agreement is the final, legally binding document.
