What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Wide's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, strict adherence to City Wide's standards and policies is essential and mandatory for franchisees. These standards ensure the uniform operation of all City Wide Franchised Businesses, maintaining consistent quality, service, and operational integrity. Franchisees must use only prescribed equipment, layouts, and designs, and strictly adhere to proprietary information and the Operating Manual. They are also required to sell only designated service and product lines. Compliance with these standards and policies, along with the use of City Wide's Marks, is crucial for maintaining the brand's goodwill.
Franchisees must comply with all requirements outlined in the Franchise Agreement, the Operating Manual, and any other written policies provided by City Wide. Mandatory specifications, standards, operating procedures, and rules communicated in writing are considered part of the Franchise Agreement. These standards protect City Wide's interests in the System and the Marks, but do not give City Wide control over matters reserved for the franchisee.
Failure to comply with the quality and performance standards set forth in the Franchise Agreement constitutes a material breach and can lead to termination of the agreement. This underscores the importance of franchisees understanding and adhering to all operational guidelines provided by City Wide. Maintaining a close working relationship with City Wide and being accountable for fulfilling the obligations outlined in the agreement are also critical for franchisees.
