What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, City Publications offers ongoing assistance to franchisees during the operation of their franchised business. This support includes being available by telephone or email to discuss problems and provide advice and guidance regarding planning, opening, and operating the franchise, as well as other aspects of the City Publications system, during normal business hours.

However, City Publications retains the right to discontinue providing this telephone and email service if, in their judgment, a franchisee is using the service too frequently or in a manner that is not intended. This clause gives City Publications discretion over how its support resources are utilized and allows them to manage the demand for assistance from franchisees.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that while City Publications offers support, it is essential to use it responsibly. Over-reliance on the franchisor for routine issues or misuse of the service could lead to a loss of this support. Franchisees should aim to become self-sufficient in their operations and only seek assistance when necessary, demonstrating that they are using the support services appropriately.
