Are the training, mentoring, and coaching modules provided by City Publications mandatory?

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all training, mentoring, and coaching modules are mandatory. Franchisees must be available at the designated times allotted for their official training and training updates.

City Publications provides an initial training program that franchisees must attend and complete to the company's satisfaction. This initial training is currently conducted online. Franchisees must successfully complete the training program no later than three months after signing the franchise agreement. Franchisees are also required to respond to all communications from City Publications within 24 hours of receipt.

In addition to the mandatory training, City Publications also provides ongoing support. This includes virtual assistance and guidance, lead generation and appointment setting coaching, and availability by phone or email for advice and guidance. Ongoing training is provided during the first full year of operations, for which the franchisee will pay $500 each month. After the first year, City Publications makes available various refresher virtual training seminars.
