Are all training, mentoring, and coaching modules mandatory for City Publications franchisees?

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all training, mentoring, and coaching modules are mandatory for franchisees. Franchisees must be available at the designated times allotted for their official training and training updates. This requirement ensures that all franchisees receive standardized instruction and stay current with any changes to the City Publications system.

In addition to the mandatory training, City Publications also provides ongoing support and assistance to its franchisees. This includes virtual assistance and guidance, lead generation and appointment setting coaching, and availability by telephone or email for advice and guidance. Franchisees also receive periodic advertising and promotional materials.

City Publications may also require franchisees to attend refresher training programs or seminars, although attendance will not be required at more than 2 such programs or exceed 2 days in any calendar year. While there is no additional fee for the initial training, franchisees are responsible for travel expenses and lodging if the training is conducted in person. Franchisees are also required to respond to all communications from City Publications within 24 hours of receipt.
