What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are not required to have an approved location. City Publications allows franchisees to operate their business from their homes or any other location, provided it complies with zoning and local ordinances. City Publications does not select the site for the franchisee.

The FDD states that the typical time between signing the Franchise Agreement and opening the business is three months, but franchisees must be operational within six months of signing. The ability to find a suitable office, if a home office is not feasible, and completing the initial training program are factors that can affect the start of operations.

This flexibility offers a significant advantage to prospective franchisees, reducing overhead costs and providing greater autonomy in choosing a location that suits their needs and preferences. However, franchisees must ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations and zoning laws, which may require additional research and due diligence.
