What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the company is introducing a new print advertising franchise model featuring a booklet of advertisements, as opposed to their traditional loose card advertisements. This new product is being offered, in part, to expand City Publications' reach into smaller towns and territories.

For existing City Publications franchisees, there is no additional franchise fee or agreement required to offer the booklet product within their current territory. However, new franchisees will be required to pay an initial franchise fee of $29,000 and sign a franchise agreement to operate the booklet product.

City Publications and its affiliate will continue to handle the graphic design, printing, and mailing of the advertising materials for a fee, similar to their existing card deck model. This suggests that franchisees will not need to invest in printing equipment or hire graphic designers, which could lower the initial investment and ongoing operational costs. However, franchisees should inquire about these fees to fully understand the costs associated with this service.
