What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use the franchisor's mailing list for distributing card decks. For each use of the mailing list, the franchisee must pay City Publications a fee, with the specific amount and payment terms outlined in the manual. This fee is referred to as the Mailing List Rental Fee.

The FDD specifies that franchisees must adhere to City Publications' terms, restrictions, and policies regarding the use of the mailing list, as detailed in the manual. Any enhancements to the mailing list requested by the franchisee will incur separate charges in addition to the standard Mailing List Rental Fee.

In essence, the Mailing List Rental Fee is a per-use charge for accessing and utilizing City Publications' proprietary mailing list for distributing advertising card decks. This mandatory fee structure ensures that City Publications is compensated for providing access to its mailing list and allows them to maintain control over how the list is used within the franchise system. Prospective franchisees should carefully review the manual to understand the exact fee amount, payment schedule, and usage restrictions associated with the mailing list.
