What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 City Publications Franchise Disclosure Document, the Franchisee Disclosure Questionnaire requires franchisees to attach additional pages to provide further explanations in certain instances.
Specifically, if a prospective City Publications franchisee answers "No" to understanding any part of the Franchise Agreement or the Disclosure Document, they are instructed to attach additional pages to explain what parts they do not understand. This ensures that the franchisee has an opportunity to fully disclose any areas of concern or confusion.
Additionally, if a prospective franchisee answers "Yes" to questions regarding unauthorized statements or promises made by City Publications employees concerning revenues, profits, operating costs, or other aspects of the franchise that contradict the information in the Disclosure Document, they must provide a full explanation. The questionnaire explicitly states that additional pages should be attached if necessary and referred to accordingly. If the answers to those questions are all "No", the lines should be left blank.
This requirement for additional pages ensures that City Publications receives comprehensive information from potential franchisees, allowing them to address any misunderstandings or concerns before finalizing the franchise agreement. It also serves as a record of the franchisee's understanding and acknowledgement of key aspects of the franchise offering.
