What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is currently conducted online. While historically, City Publications held training sessions in Atlanta and at franchisee offices, the FDD states that the company now reserves the right to conduct all in-house training remotely via live webinars. This shift to remote training is a result of the 2020 COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.

This means that prospective City Publications franchisees can expect to complete their initial training from any location with internet access. The initial training program consists of approximately 48 hours in 2-3 day sessions. The modules and requirements of each training session with the corporate team or approved vendors will remain with standard content and time to complete.

If City Publications returns to in-person training, franchisees will be responsible for covering their own travel and lodging expenses. Franchisees must successfully complete the training program no later than three months after signing the franchise agreement. Franchisees are also required to respond to all communications from City Publications within 24 hours of receipt, both during training and in the operation of their franchised business.
