What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to City Publications' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, existing franchisees will not need an additional franchise agreement to offer the booklet product. City Publications is introducing a new print advertising franchise model in 2025 that features a booklet of advertisements, as opposed to the traditional deck of individual cards.
For current City Publications franchisees, there is no additional franchise fee or agreement required to offer this new booklet product within their existing territory. This provides an opportunity for franchisees to expand their service offerings without incurring extra costs or legal obligations.
New franchisees, however, will be required to pay an initial franchise fee of $29,000 and sign a franchise agreement to offer the booklet product. This difference in requirements highlights a benefit for existing franchisees, allowing them to diversify their services more easily than new entrants. This new product is being offered to reach smaller towns and territories.
City Publications and its affiliate will handle the graphic design, printing, and mailing of the booklet for a fee, similar to the existing card deck model. This means franchisees can focus on sales and marketing without needing to manage the production and distribution processes themselves.
